A very useful bag made from a one of a kind, vintage kantha quilt! This large sized tote is great for wearing on your shoulder everywhere. Perfect for your daily haul or to carry along your treasured supplies for a project.
Kantha quilts are made for household use in rural parts of Bengal and Bangladesh. Favourite prints, saris, and beloved lengths of cloth are stitched together with plain and coloured threads. Every quilter has her own individual style, and we love the history and stories each one holds.
Fibre: 100% cotton - made from a medium weight kantha quilt.
Size is approx. 13"x 18" x 5", handle drop 13". Outside pocket is 9" x 9".
*Note: Just a few bags are made from each quilt - each bag is unique and may vary slightly from the images. Expect vintage characteristics that make each bag special.
Care Instructions: Your textile can be gently machined or hand washed with cool water. To protect the fabric you absolutely must use a pH neutral liquid detergent. Wash with similar colours. Immediately hang to dry or tumble dry on medium heat.
Recommended detergents: Ecos, Eucalan, Tru Earth or a mild liquid detergent no higher than pH 7
- Tru Earth must dissolve completely in water before adding garments to wash
